Our Volunteers are the heartbeat of StepUp Greensboro's Operations. Their feedback confirms that they receive much more from their participation as a volunteer than they give. Our dedicated volunteers have a huge impact on the individuals that we serve as there are various opportunities to further our mission.
Job Readiness Training
Volunteers provide a 15-minute inspirational thought & prayer for the day
Availability: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday

Speakers
Volunteers assist with the creation or revision of participant's resumes
Resume
Writers
Availability: Tuesday - Thursday
Volunteers work closely with participants to discuss their barriers to employment & employment history
One-on-One Assessors
Availability: Tuesday

Volunteers observe, evaluate, & provide feedback to participants in a small group
Mock
Interview Panelist
Availability: Friday

Clothing
Closet
Volunteers assist participants with selecting an interview-appropriate outfit
Availability: Tuesday

Clerical
Volunteers assist with answering phone calls, making copies, & assisting staff with additional office tasks
Availability: Monday - Friday
Mentoring Opportunities
Character
Development
Volunteers will serve as mentors, helping Participants build their self-esteem, healthy relationships, & character.
Availability:
Women | Mon. (1:00 p.-2:30p.)
Men | Wed. (9:30 a.-10:30 a.)
Life
Skills
Volunteers will serve as Co-partners for 36 weeks mentoring Participants as they grow spiritually, emotionally, financially, & in relationships
Availability: Tuesday
